Exploramer is a choice place to discover the marine environment. It is an activities complex that highlights the biodiversity of the St. Lawrence River.

The waters of the St. Lawrence River shelter an exceptional garden, an underwater Eden. In its permanent exhibition called Un jardin sous la mer (A Garden Under the Sea), Exploramer presents a collection of live species and organisms living in the St. Lawrence River. The aquariums and basins are home to numerous varieties of fish and anemones. The biologist-guides unveil the thousand and one secrets of marine life and allow visitors to get their fingers wet in the tactile basins to touch different varieties of crustaceans, molluscs and echinoderms.

The JV Exploramer is an 18-passenger covered Zodiac that allows visitors to sail off on an ecological sea excursion. Discover the magical world of the St. Lawrence River’s ecosystem “in real life”, take part in the raising of crab and whelk pots, take scientific samples and, perhaps, witness the graceful ballet of marine mammals.

Exploramer also presents exhibitions about the sea: Mysteries Under the Waves of the St. Lawrence, Belugas: The Next Wave and Eyes Open in the Sea.
